The Beautiful Rebecca: Lexington Bridal Portraits

The week before her wedding, I met Rebecca, her mom, and her sister at Spindletop Hall.  Rebecca scheduled her hair and make-up trial for the same day and also brought a bouquet along for the shoot.  It was perfection.  Bridal portraits are a great idea because it is just me and you (the bride) for a relaxed session before your wedding.  We get plenty of portraits the day of the wedding but this is a fun opportunity to get all dolled up before the wedding and take photos at a different location.  You gotta have a hair and make-up trial, may as well slip on the dress and get a few photos too.  Love her dress by the way. Look for the Rebecca and Jonathan's wedding blog post later this weekend. In other news, we are featured today in the launch of Wedding Row Kentucky.  We are proud to be their first featured wedding and a preferred vendor as well.  You can check out the site for fun wedding ideas and inspiration in our area.

Happy Friday!  No wedding for me this weekend, so I have decided to tackle more editing and making a pizza from scratch.  Oh boy.

Megan & Matt: Lexington Wedding Photography

This colorful baseball themed wedding was right up our alley, or baseline I should say.  I have known Matt's family for ages and Gabe loves baseball. Megan did a beautiful job with all of the details, from her hair accessories to her bouquet to the baseball cards on the tables.  One of my favorite parts of the day was our portrait location.  There wasn't a lot of room at the church so Gabe and I took 16 willing wedding party members to a park nearby.  It was a bit of a hike but everyone was very gracious.  Thanks for including us and congrats to you both!  You are lovely couple! Yasmin & Sunny: Lexington Wedding Photography

This was my first full South Asian wedding and I'd say it was a success!  I had the best weekend with Yasmin and Sunny's friends and family.  I cannot thank them enough for including Gabe and me in their ceremony and reception.  Here is are the highlights from their beautiful Sunday celebration.

Yasmin looked stunning.  She had four different outfits throughout the weekend and she looked perfect in each one of them.  As always, Ana Crane-Simpson rocked out the hair and makeup.

Sunny is looking very handsome.

They look perfect together!

Oh the color!

It was smokin' hot on the day of the wedding so we opted to do most of the pictures inside Embassy Suites.

Getting ready to party.

Before the reception we all hopped in our car and drove to the pond in front of the hotel.  Yasmin had on about four inch heels and was a trooper was we walked down to the trees.  I'd say it was worth it.

Martine hit a home run with the cakes.

First dance shot by Gabe!

One of my favorite parts of the day was the music!

Thanks again!  Especially to Yasmin and Nargis!

Yasmin & Sunny: Last Friday Night

It was actually a few Fridays ago.  Yasmin and Sunny's wedding ceremony was the beginning of a huge celebration.  I have never been a part of a Bangladeshi wedding and was a joy to photograph.  The ceremony was a smaller version of their Sunday festivities so it was a good opportunity for me to meet everyone and get my feet wet.  Enjoy part one of their pictures!

Yasmin's look was a lot different than most of my brides and I LOVED it.

Outfit #2: Getting ready for Gaye Holud.

Guests spread turmeric paste on Yasmin and Sunny for blessings.

Sunny got most of it.
