Tashina and Josh: Lexington, Kentucky Wedding

Hello and goodbye! As soon as I post a few pictures here of Tashina and Josh, I have to pack and go to bed. Why? Because Gabe and I are leaving in the morning for our California wedding on Friday! We leave early tomorrow, I am going to a workshop with Amelia Lyon on Thursday, the wedding is Friday, and then Gabe and I are going to vacation for a few days.  We will be posting our adventures on here, so stay tuned for those. For now, Tashina and Josh.  I didn't want to leave for a week without posting a few of this beautiful wedding.

The wedding was at the always fabulous Talon Winery and the event was orchestrated by Always Planned.  We had a great time with Rayna, Mallory, and Jenna.

Molly Baker did Tashina's lovely up-do and Kris did her make up.  Beautiful!

Florals done by Beth at Ivory Rose!  Always a winner!

Practice Makes Perfect...one of these days.

It's true.  You have to practice to get better at anything.  This little truth lays claim to many areas of my life: frying eggs, downward facing dogs, Donkey Kong, and especially photography.  I can't just let my camera get dusty.  Especially as wedding season kicks into high gear.  Plus,  I love experimenting with new light and angles.  I got a chance to do so a few weeks ago. I am part of a group of Kentucky photographers who get together once a month to chat about our businesses and share experiences with one another.  Last month, we had a practice shoot.  Susannah was gracious enough to contact several couples who were willing to model for us.

Here are a few of my shots.

Jennifer and Dereck: Lexington Wedding Photography

With all this Honey Heart talk I haven't had a lot of time for pictures the last couple days.  Until now.  And it's all about the pictures, right?  I have a brand new 35mm lens to prove that. An awesome bride of mine, Joy, referred Jennifer to me few months ago and I am so grateful she did.  Not only grateful for the wedding itself, but for the opportunity to work with Jennifer's wonderful family.  Jennifer and Dereck had a morning wedding and lunch reception.  It was perfect!  Gabe and I shot in the morning, breakfasted at Alfalfa, and had the rest of the day free.

Have a great Wednesday.  I just finished making a spaghetti dinner in the crock pot.  I love that crock pot.  They are magical.
