Allison and Clay: Married

Hello, everyone! Gabe and I shot Allison and Clay's wedding a couple weeks ago and had a blast.  Allison and I clicked when we first met and I have loved getting to know her!  She and Clay are fun and beautiful couple.  Enjoy the photos! In other news, my ankle is healing!  Slowly.  I shot a rehearsal dinner, a wedding and two family sessions this weekend so I am staying off it today, sticking around the office and editing.  Have a great day!

Jennifer and Steven: Wedding in Ohio

I am working on a Sunday morning.  I am usually at church on Sunday morning but I am house ridden this weekend due a sprained ankle.  I can't walk.  Gabe has been taking care of me all weekend.  He is so wonderful.  He's been carrying me around the house so I don't have to hop and it is so sweet.  I sure am thankful all of this is temporary.  Anyway, we have watched more TV and played more Wii than we did all summer.  Today is working and reading day, so I least feel a little productive. Want to know how it happened?  It happened mostly because I am such a klutz.  I started going to the gym regularly back in February to ensure I'd look good in my big, white dress and I have come to enjoy it.  I have muscles!  Ish.  So every Tuesday and Friday I take classes at Urban Active with a bunch of other ladies.  We all lift weights, do squats, and hop around together on an aerobic step.  That's where I sprained my ankle.  The step.  We were all jumping over our steps and I'm not known for my long jumping (or short jumping for that matter) skills so I fell on my ankle.  Alas.  I did this last year so I kind of know the drill.  I'm hoping to stay of it this week so I will be ready for Saturday's wedding!

Here is Jennifer and Steven's wedding, which we shot a couple weeks ago in Centerville, Ohio.  Centerville is a lovely little town in central Ohio.  The outdoor wedding was at Benham's Grove and was very beautiful.  There were a variety of places to take pictures, lots of tress and barn doors.  Shout out to Bill's Donut Shop, where we stopped for a snack since we were early.  The devil's food donuts were awesome!  Enjoy the pictures.  Congrats to the happy couple!  You all looked fabulous and it was such a fun day!

Father and son!

Sweet little family!

Mary and Gabe: My Very Own Wedding Post Part Two

Scroll down for part one!

Our reception was at a pavilion in Wilmore.  I loved it because it was very affordable and we could be very creative with it.  And there's the banner we made.  Email me if you'd like mom to make one for you.  She's a pro.  And look! There's Jeff Gibson, our wonderful DJ.

The maid of honor, Elisa, made the cake topper.  Mini miis.  Our cake was from Tinkers!  Each tier was a heavenly layer of either chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry.

Gabe's cake.  Wow.

I love these dancing shots.  Way to go, Andy and Erika.  Dancing photos are amazing because they are so emotional.

Gabe's mom, Gina, looked so beautiful that day.

I also had a wood theme.  Dad carved this vase for us.  It says Mary loves Gabe. Photobooth!  Check out the booth pictures on our Facebook pages.

Thanks so much for checking out our wedding photos!

Mary and Gabe: My Very Own Wedding Post Part One

Well, hello.  Tonight Gabe and I would like to share a few of our wedding photos with you.  We are so excited that they are here and could not be happier with them.  When I started thinking about who I would have shoot my wedding (which was before I even met Gabe :) ), the Olsens always came to mind.  Andy and Erika are good friends of ours and I love how they interpret weddings.  I wanted a photographer who was going to be there and experience the day with me and tell the story of our wedding in a fun, colorful and emotional way.  This is what I try to do at weddings and I wanted it for my own.  I also wanted beautiful portraits.  Needless to say, Andy Olsen Photography delivered. It was interesting going through this photography process, preparing for the day and our photo shoot as bride and groom, as I got ready on my own big day: the fear of back fat, making sure I looked perfect and natural all at the same time, hoping the rings made it to the church, did the eyebrow waxer take off too much of my brows?  Then I saw Gabe for the first time and everything was grand.  It was so easy to relax, run around in my big dress, and scuff up my shoes once I was with him and we started having fun on our photo shoot.  My Gabe made it that way.  I knew I was the perfect bride, his bride, and that is a wonderful thing to rest in.

Enjoy! There are two posts. Here is the first.  Be sure to check out the end of the second post for a list of our awesome vendors!

Mom looked so stunning!

Go time for Gabe.

And go time for Dave.

We had a "first look" moment so we could shoot everything beforehand, which Gabe and I highly recommend.  Love the symmetry of this shot.

Yes, that's right!  I bought Gabe a gun for his wedding present.  You should have seen little ole me in a gun shop.  And my Gabe got me the best strand of pearls.

We went with a suspender/vest combo and I love it!  Sense we had so many people in the party, we wanted it to be a little varied.  The guys are rocking it out.  Don't mess.

Our colors were greens and purples and grays.  I love my girls' dresses from Twirl!

Dad.

Bell ringers!  These guys (nephews and dear friends) shouted, "The bride is coming!" right before I strolled down the aisle.

Gabe's vows were the best.

I'll say it, we look good.

I've never been so happy as I was on June 6th.

Oh the flags.  So about a month into the engagement I decided it would be fun to have a flag theme.  Mom and I went to a fabric store and chose about ten fabrics and she cut out all these triangles.  Then dad glued them onto Dowel rods for everyone to wave as we exited.  They were so crafty and helpful.  We also made the banner at the entrance of the reception and for the photo booth.

Our reception photos are next.
