Remember baby Alice? Well these are her cousins and they are too cute for words! Enjoy and happy Thursday!
This lovely little family visited Lexington last week from England. Little Malory told me she was here on holiday and I about melted. Hannah (mom) and I have been in contact for a couple months after baby James' mom referred her to me. It was a pleasure to meet them. Malory and Callum are extremely adorable and everyone (parents, grandparents, myself) did everything we could to make them smile. Our efforts were not in vain. I love these photos!
Time. It goes by so fast and I think it, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. It can go by in a blink or drag on. When I graduated college in 2006, I could not imagine the year 2011. Surely by 2011 I would be married with kids and a dog. I would l have traveled the world and read the Bible a couple times over. I would have a regular gym routine and be a chef of the Julia Child variety. I would be a screenwriter and filmmaker. I had to do it all before I had crow's feet and gray hair. The operative word here, for me, is DO. Maybe I could have done all of this in five years but I think I'd be really tired. I think I will do some fun things in the next five years, but I really want to focus on my relationships more. I'd like to have crow's feet - from laughing so much with friends and Gabe. My friends Christy and Caleb stayed with us for our college reunion. Christy was my roommate for a year in college and we have stayed friends since. C and C got married right after we graduated and now they have Nate. Gabe and I never had a little baby stay with us before. When we have kids we won't need an alarm clock anymore.
We traveled northwest last week to our friend Missy's house to take pictures of her girls. Her adorable girls. Maggie went first because Norah was sleeping. During Maggie's portion, I asked Missy if we could take some pictures of Maggie doing something; reading a book perhaps. Missy replied, "Maggie is more of an active child. She doesn't sit much. She loves her trapeze." So we headed to the playground. Missy sure knows her girl because Maggie was doing flips in half a second. We had a great time with the girls. Thanks Missy! And shout out to our friend Aunt Tara for coming to say hey and helping Norah smile more.
Happy Friday to all! I had the privilege of meeting baby Alice, her proud parents, and even more proud grandma last week. This baby girl is oh so sweet. I loved photographing her family and chatting with her family between outfits changes. You are lucky girl, Alice! We have recently began offering our Baby Bee Collection to all of you new parents. The collection includes four photo sessions of your baby, a disc of your images and an online gallery with each shoot, and an album (designed by us!) of your baby for their first birthday. Contact us at info{at}honeyheartphoto.com if you are interested.
A couple months ago, I announced this little thing called our name change to the world (Mary Lashbrook Photography is now Honey Heart Photography in case you were curious). I held a giveaway to usher in this new beginning to my business. The lovely little family below won! By the way, have you seen our Twitter and FB pages? Check them out for the latest HHP news and quips.
It was so great to see you again, Sarah. Your kiddos are beautiful!
