Kennedy, Lily, and Family

Remember Baby James? The adorable arm-flexing, Egyptian-walking, John Wall baby?  Well, these are his cousins and they are equally adorable!  Their parents are great too!  These girlies rocked it out in pink and were a lot of fun to work with.  Ande (mom) wanted to go ahead and schedule the shoot in January so I was tasked with finding an indoor location.  I finally decided on the Bell House.  I've shot a few receptions there and love it's architecture and ambiance.  Their management was more than happy to let us shoot inside the house.  We hopped outside for a few pictures too.  Brr.  I always suggest shooting a couple pictures outside, even if it is cold, for the variety.  I assume it's not a huge deal because I get to wear a coat and gloves.  So thanks to all my clients who have gone outside with me and endured the cold! Thanks Marc and Ande!  Enjoy your pictures.  You are a beautiful family.

Michael: Super Senior Part Two

I am sitting at the Lawson's house in Louisville, enjoying a rainy Saturday.  We came up this weekend for an Over the Rhine concert and an ugly Christmas sweater party.  We purchased our sweaters last year but didn't make it to the party.  We ended up just wearing them at Christmas and I think half the family thought they were for real.  I've will post pictures from tonight so you can check out my 3D, reindeer and wreath covered costume: IF YOU DARE.   We have dusted them off and it is finally time for them to make their official debut.  By the way, Over the Rhine was amazing and you have got to check them out! Here are a couple more pictures from Michael's senior shoot.  The second half of the shoot got rained out so we rescheduled for a dryer day.  Enjoy.  Scroll down if you are here for Heather and Jack's engagement shoot.

Emma and Family

I went into this business as a wedding photographer, but I must say, I am loving these kids and family shoots!  Lately, I have been working with the the greatest parents and the cutest kiddos you can imagine.  Elizabeth (Emma's mom) was the Matron of Honor in Casey and Greg's wedding.  It was great to see her again!  Hes family below is a perfect example of why I enjoy these sessions; every one is unpredictably different and I love the challenge of capturing each family dynamic.  Little Emma is just four years old and she was freezing during the shoot.  I think all of us were wondering if we'd get any shots before she turned into a little Popsicle.  We (Gabe came along for this one) sure did!  Even though it was chilly Emma powered through and became her cute, little self.  The lollipop probably helped.

An "I'm getting cold" moment.

An "Okay, now I'm really cold" moment.
