Trey and Lizzie: Engaged!

Happy Friday!  Before I head out to my wedding-free weekend I wanted post these pictures of Lizzie and Trey.  I have known Lizzie for something crazy like 15 years.  We grew up together, going to same church.  Now she lives in CO, where she met Trey.  They are getting married in August and since I can't shoot their wedding I at least wanted to do their engagement session.  I had a blast meeting Trey and catching up with Lizzie!  They did a great job in front of the camera.  Blessings in the engagement season, you two! Joy and Brian: Engaged

I had the pleasure of spending the evening with Joy and Brian on Monday for their engagement session.  They are so much fun an were so relaxed!  I am really pleased with the way the shoot turned out.  I cannot wait for October, Joy and Brian!  Enjoy!

I grabbed this shot above when I told Joy and Brian I was just shooting her ring.  And it is my favorite!  Hehe.

Mary and Gabe are engaged!

Here are some of our engagement pictures, hot off the press!  I must say, it is weird being in front of the camera, posing, for your our engagement shoot.  You really have to trust your photographer!  Hehe.  And we trust ours and he delivered!  Andy Olsen is fabulous and I cannot wait for he and Erika to shoot the big day.   Our shoot helped me realize why engagement shoots are so significant.  They are little practice rounds for the wedding day.  I think it is important to be ready for the camera so the "day of" goes as smoothly as possible (PS - the last four pictures were done by Natalie Hagen). My wedding is only four weeks away and it is still so odd that I am the BRIDE.  I have loved this engagement season.  Has it been stressful?  Yes.  Did I take on too many DIY projects?  Yes.  Am I beginning to lose sleep at night, thinking about all the details?  Yes.  However, spending so much time with friends and family and Gabe has been a blast and a complete blessing. I woudn't trade it for anything in the world (except being married).  28 days!

Amy and Ryan: An Engagement Shoot on a Beautiful Farm...In the Rain!

Hello everyone!  I just got home from yoga class.  I started going a little over a month ago after I threw out my back while pulling on my boots.  After two days lying down, I thought I'd try yoga so I could strengthen my bed-ridden back.  And I love it!  I was skeptical at first ( thinking it's not exercise, right?).  I was proven wrong after the first class.  I think I used every muscle in my body  I feel great!  Yay for extreme stretching!

Anyway, I shot these pictures on Monday with Amy and Ryan.  We shot at Amy's parents' farm and it is beautiful!  But alas, it was raining, so we had that limitation.  The rain aside, it was wonderful.  They are fun high school sweethearts and I can't wait for their wedding in August!

PS - I'm getting married in 39 days!
